Linn Kurosawa, from aliens vs predator the arcade game. I can honestly say she is one of my favorite characters in video games and very bad ass being able to hold her own against an xenomorph swarm. Here comes Jedah! His whole concept is pretty sick, that he actually a liquid man and just manifested the form we see, if you look at moves closely he does some crazy stuff as normal punch and kick attacks, like cutting is wrists and cutting his head off.

YOU ALL KNOW WHO THIS GUY IS AND WHERE HE'S FROM. Even though I don't like using him in street fighter, he has to be one of the funnest character designs in the game, just his proportions in general are interesting, huge shoulders, hands, and feet, and the rest is skin and bones. lol it creates a great silhouette. And his ability to stretch his arms and feet are dope too.

A tribute piece to Macho Man Randy Savage. Rasslor! a villain from the "Dial M for Monkey" shorts on Dexter's Lab cartoon. I always love the monkey episodes, especially the fact that they made fun of alot of old school superheroes. the rasslor episode was my fav one, when i heard macho man passed away, one of my friends suggested I do a tribute piece, so bam! here it is. The title says it all, basically a redesign of Mileena from MK. I really enjoyed doing this piece. At first i planned to have her rocking a belt on her waist with 2 heads on it. But i decided not to because it would make her look too beastly and she would lose her sexyness. I think the tattoo sleeves give enough of both, sexyness and badass-itude. Enjoy

I was mostly inspired by the mortal kombat legacy trailer where you get a few peeks at sub zero. I liked that they made his design more capable of handling the cold elements but I thought they could have pushed it more, so I did, gave him a mixture but heavily on the eskimo feel, thick hoodie, big ass heavy boots and the fur I think give it a dope touch, besides the bandana over the face. Enjoy

Its been a looooong time (13 years) since I've done an non-objective composition. This time the experience was much more pleasant and relaxing than the last time I had to. The last time was also my first time doing a non-objective piece which was back when I was a freshman in highschool. That was the first time I had to go outside my comfort zone and draw something that doesn't resemble anything. Glad I went through it because it broke down a huge wall, creative wise. Here's my newest illustration. Took me awhile to work on this one because I had no clue what to do. I started with my character "rox" which i finished awhile back in december. I didn't want to just leave him by himself with no background so then I spent 3/4 of january experimenting with different techniques and comps, for example one was making it more like a japanese magazine cover. Finally I was inspired to make it more graphic based and text. This is my most fav piece so far. Enjoy

origins wolverine movie version of the blob. People can what they want about the movie, I honestly enjoyed it for the main fact that I knew before hand that its not gonna be like the comic at all, very loosely based on the book, also you gotta give it to who ever the casting director was they picked the right guys for victor and wade. Plus walking out of x-men 3 and being a bit disappointed leaves you with low expectations for the wolverine movie lol. I do have to admit though the deadpool design was mad dope, i just didnt like his mouth being fused shut, well I guess it made production easier, didn't have to teach ryan renolds martial arts or sync his voice over his stunt devil's lips. Whatever lol.

To ring in the new year I made several new year resolutions that I know will be achieved. #1 healthier living, less meat, more vegetables, more water, run and go back to the gym. #2 be better off than I was in 2009. #3 create 1 fully rendered illustration and every day fill at least 3 pages in my sketch book. Here goes the first illustration. I also plan to print this on canvas personally for me, but will be available as a print at this years conventions. This was an interesting job, did this job for the airforce at world leaders, My buddy Garret did the storyboards and some dope artists and sick motion graphics animators did a great job bringin this to life. It was done in photoshop, some photomanipulation. I liked this project because we got to play more with negative space and it came out beautifully. Hola peoples, I know its been awhile since i post anything new, been busy working on other important projects. During the past month and a half, I've been working on a painting on my spare time. Here it is bushido bob, acrylic on canadian maple skateboard and frisket paper, man i love that stuff. I also included the digital proof. Lesson learned...use soft body acrylics, the heavy body stuff is alot harder to push around and keep smooth.

SUP PEOPLES!!!!! Yeah It's been a looong time since I posted anything. That's due to my computers crashing, recovering data from a failed external hard drive, and having most of my time taking up from freelance work and catching up on sleep i needed. While i was waiting for the tech to be fixed, I was using my time wisely, creating new designs for other project and painting 2 skate boards. Here is LUMPY!!! the final piece!! I'm quite proud of this piece, felt good to paint again. Acrylics on skateboard took one whole weekend. Enjoy the progress pictures!!!

Sup here goes the artist proof to a piece i call "LUMPY Carnage!!". The proof was done in illustrator. And i plan to Paint it on a skateboard with acrylic for a possible art show later this fall.
